Putting the boot in....

Hello, my name is Jane and I am a boot addict.

I've always had a thing for boots, one of the main reasons I'm not a fan of the summer months is simply the fact that I can never find a pair of shoes I like, or that I'm comfortable in.  Come September and the first sign of Autumn the boots are out and all is well with the world again.

The funny thing is I can never have enough boots, ankle ones, knee high, calf, I even ventured into thigh high boots in my teenage years (something which had my late Dad slapping his thighs a' la' Dick Whittington and shouting "he's behind you!" whenever I left the house).  I have Cowboy Boots, Ugg boots, Dr Marten boots but the one thing I have desired for many years, is a pair of pirate boots.

So, if I were lucky enough to win Terri Lowe's Amazing Barratts Competition I'd have to embrace my inner pirate and choose these fabulous boots in the middle of my collage.  Something about a cuff at the top of a boot and a few buckles just screams Jack Sparrow to me.  I cannot being to tell you how much I genuinely adore those boots, the heel is practical enough to wear in all weathers and give me a much needed height boost.  The shearling cuff just makes them look so warm and cosy (I'm a sucker for shearling, its like having your feet cuddled wherever you go).  I'm also a big fan of boots that zip up and these do.  Nothing worse than rolling around the floor frantically huffing and puffing to drag a boot up your leg.  Hey, designers, we don't all have pins like Kate Moss you know!

In truth, I adore all of the boots in my collage for many different reasons, but the Shearling Collar Knee High's have stolen my heart!
